Advanced Chemistry includes most of the 22 laboratory experiments recommended by the College Board to provide a complete advanced experience in a blended environment. More than 25 percent of the online lesson modules are inquiry-based and employ online simulations, data-based analysis, online data-based tools, and ―kitchen sink labs that require no specialized equipment or supervision. Many of the lessons include significant practice in stoichiometry and other critical, advanced chemistry skills.

This course is designed to introduce students to the basic concepts of computer programming. Students learn how to compile and run a Java program. They learn to use arithmetic, relational, and logical operators. They learn to use different decision-making and loop statements. They learn to create classes, methods, String objects, and an ArrayList object. They learn to perform sequential search, binary search, selection sort, and insertion sort on an array. They learn to implement object-oriented programming design. They learn to implement inheritance, polymorphism, and abstraction. Developmental Math 1 - Pre-Algebra

Pre-algebra uses a spiraling curriculum approach by which each unit builds on the skills and knowledge gained in the previous unit. It, along with the other developmental math courses, emphasizes the demonstration of the mastery of mathematical concepts through problem solving. The course's seven units range from the introduction of whole numbers to solving linear equations, concluding in week 24 with an overview exponents and polynomials. A variety of standard learning aids are provided to support the learner, as are an array of specific math specific tools.

Developmental Math 2 - Beginning Algebra

Building on the skills developed in Pre-Algebra, the nine units in Beginning Algebra span approximately 21 weeks of instruction. This engaging and comprehensive course includes online courseware, offline activities, and supplemental enrichment activities leveraging a variety of Internet resources. Units include a two week introduction to graphing as well as an approximately two and a half week unit of graphing linear equations and inequalities. The final unit covers rational expressions, and is followed by an end-of-semester test.

Developmental Math 3 - Intermediate Algebra

As with other Plato courses, each unit in Developmental Math 3 includes a pretest that allows learners to be exempted from material they already know, and lets them focus solely on the skills and concepts they have yet to master.
