Texas Medical Terminology, Semester A/B

The course is based on Texas state standards for Career and Technical Education (CTE) to enable all students at the high school level to identify the components of medical terms and familiarize themselves with the medical terminology used in the field of health care. Semester A will focus on the structure and functions of the human body systems. It will help students identify and understand the medical terminology used for various diseases and medical procedures related to each body system.  Semester B will focus on developing an understanding of the industry with a focus on personal and employability skills. Additionally, the students will learn how to implement technology and healthcare tools to collate data and determine treatments.
