Access and Equity

Accessibility is about unlocking opportunity. Technology has the power to scale supports so that students can reach their potential. At Edmentum, we strive to bring these two ideas together, and we design educational technology that can deliver equitable learning experiences for all.

Empowering every learner

Our commitment to accessibility and equity is supported in the work we do.

Guided by external expertise

We work with Level Access, leveraging its 25 years of accessibility expertise to evaluate our learning programs in accordance with best practices.

Built to key design principles

We use the key principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) to create new content and modify existing content to ensure equity of instructional materials for all learners.

Committed to ADA compliance

We remain committed to complying fully with accessibility standards included in W3C’s WCAG 2.1 A and AA conformance levels and continually investing in product capabilities to achieve this aim.

Fueled by educator needs

We prioritize listening to our school and district partners to shape improvements that move the needle on equitable learning opportunities.

Demonstrating accessibility with VPAT

We're always improving. Refer to our Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) to understand our current accessibility status. Developed by the Information Technology Industry Council (ITI), the VPAT outlines our compliance with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.

Removing learning barriers

Central to how we support inclusive classrooms are the accommodations and modifications our programs enable. As educators rise to meet the needs of students with IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) or Section 504 plans, they can feel confident that they have flexible tools built for their needs.

Diverse curricula

Intentional inclusion of diverse cultures and ethnicities ensures that users feel seen and can engage and reflect meaningfully with learning.
