Exact Path diagnostic assessment scores are highly correlated to Ohio State Test (OST) math and English language arts scores across grades (3-8) and testing windows. High correlations were also found between Exact Path diagnostic Grade 2 and OST Grade 3 scores, and for middle school students that took the Exact Path mathematics diagnostic assessment and Ohio's Algebra I and Geometry end-of-course tests. These results support use of Exact Path as an early indicator of student achievement in mathematics and English language arts, and a strong predictor of success on Algebra 1 and Geometry EOC tests.

In preparation for OST assessments, educators can use Exact Path diagnostic results to:

  • Identify students who need additional support
  • Prioritize content areas to focus on
  • Inform data-driven instruction and targeted intervention
  • Increase student readiness for Algebra 1 and Geometry
