Edmentum, a leading provider of web-based individualized learning solutions, has announced the extension of the Study Island NWEA™ MAP® Link into high school grades. The Study Island NWEA MAP Link is a fully integrated solution that uses a student’s MAP growth assessment results to create an individualized learning path, delivered through the Study Island program. It is now available for customers using the high school curriculum.

Educators using both Study Island and MAP growth assessments can easily pinpoint academic strengths and weaknesses through their MAP test results and then automatically target those areas with Study Island’s standards-based content. Each student will receive a tailored learning path within Study Island based on his or her individual MAP Rasch Unit (RIT) scores. The integration, currently available in grades 3 through 8 since December 2012, will now extend into high school grades as well.

“I’m pleased to announce that our partnership with NWEA is expanding to reach our high school users,” said Hugh O’Donovan, Edmentum product manager. “Study Island NWEA MAP Link users in grades 2–high school will benefit from having a comprehensive solution targeted on standards development and practice in reading and math, focusing on each learner’s key areas of need.”

Edmentum is committed to growing partnerships that provide solutions which support the curriculum needs of schools and districts. The Study Island NWEA MAP Link will be available, at an additional cost, to any school or district that uses both MAP growth assessments and Edmentum’s Study Island program.
