Edmentum, a global education leader and a pioneer in online teaching and learning solutions, has announced the winners of its first national Exact Path Skills Challenge Competition. A total of six winners, three school winners and three individual student winners, were recognized for their ability to demonstrate skill mastery by earning the most Exact Path Trophies over the contest period.

From October 1 to November 8, Exact Path customers were challenged to try and earn as many trophies as possible. A total of 791 schools from 43 different states across the country participated in this nation-wide competition.

One elementary, middle, and high school were each recognized for the number of skills mastered per students participating. After a tough competition lasting six weeks, Red Level Elementary, in Red Level, Alabama; Collegiate Academy at Weis in Galveston, Texas; and the Tennessee Volunteer ChalleNGe Academy (TNVCA) in Nashville, Tennessee, were determined as the elementary level, middle school level, and high school level, respectively. Each winner earned $300 toward school supplies, a pizza party, and school trophy.

Kevin Meadows, lead instructor at the TNVCA, remarked on how the competition really helped motivate students to focus on their learning, and propelled them towards academic achievement: “My kids love competition. They love to have something to fight for and incentives. I think that if there's something for them to achieve, then they're really going to go all out for themselves and for the school.”

In addition to three school winners, Edmentum recognized three individual student winners, one from each grade band, who each received a personalized trophy and a gift card. 35 additional schools or districts were also recognized on the official winner's announcement page for their widespread implementation of Exact Path, outstanding participation, and superior skill mastery.

“We are so pleased with the level of participation we’ve seen at the school and the individual student level for our first ever national Exact Path Skills Challenge,” said Cheryl Dodge, Chief Product Officer at Edmentum. “While it’s wonderful to be able to reward the hard work of our winners, the real reward in this competition comes from knowing how many students were mastering skills, gaining confidence, and empowering their own academic journeys through learning.”

Each school winner was featured on the Edmentum blog describing how their implementation is unique, why Exact Path works for them, and how they plan to celebrate their victory.
