About Virginia AMOP The Virginia AMOP initiative allows school divisions to offer online instruction to students in multiple divisions using a private organization, educational institution, or nonprofit virtual school organization that meets Virginia Board of Education–approval criteria to operate as an Approved Multidivision Online Provider. AMOP providers supply online courses, or virtual courses, to K–12 students and educate students in the fundamental knowledge and academic subjects that they need to become capable, responsible, and self-reliant citizens.
