Edmentum, a global education leader and a pioneer in online teaching and learning solutions, announces new Edmentum course approvals under the University of California “a-g” program for the 2018–19 school year. Edmentum has had over 80 semester-length courses approved for the first time or re-approved during this year’s “a-g” approval window, bringing the total number of Edmentum courses approved to 214, which makes Edmentum the #1 online course provider in terms of total courses approved for the fourth straight year under the University of California “a-g” program.

“We are committed to providing rigorous, high-quality online curriculum for students in California, as well as across the nation,” said Dr. Shane Dennison, state and federal programs manager at Edmentum. “We’re proud to be the leader in University of California “a-g” course approvals because it demonstrates that Edmentum is delivering on that commitment.”

Edmentum shows its dedication to putting the best resources in students’ hands by providing solid, research-based curriculum built from the ground up to align with each state’s specific academic standards. In addition to the University of California “a-g” program, Edmentum has over 5,500 course approvals by agencies in 30 states, as well as by eight national third-party organizations: Certica Solutions, AdvancED, ISTE, Quality Matters, the College Board, the GED Publisher Program, EdCredible, and the NCAA. These organizations set the standards for quality assurance in online learning and help solidify Edmentum as the industry leader in standards-based online curriculum.

Edmentum’s courses demonstrate how student achievement is valued by optimizing the blended and virtual learning experience with state approvals and certifications. The “a-g” approval recognizes the strong alignment of its curriculum to state-specific standards.
