Edmentum’s online courses, accessible through both Plato Courseware and EdOptions Academy, have received the Quality Matters Certificate of Course Recognition, which confirms both learning solutions meet Quality Matters’ stringent review standards for online education.

The Quality Matters K-12 Publisher Rubric was created to address the need for a set of standards for the design of online courses and assist school boards, individual schools and teachers in selecting courses for adoption. Based on the adherence to existing respected standards for K-12 online education, the K-12 Publisher Rubric serves as a guide to evaluate and improve publisher courses.

Each of the following Plato Courseware and EdOptions Academy courses was awarded the Quality Matters Certificate of Course Recognition. The Quality Matters Grades 6-12 Publisher Rubric requires a 92 out of a possible 108 points for a course to be Quality Matters certified. Biology, Semesters A and B and U.S. History, Semesters A and B each scored 106 of 108 points. Algebra I, Semesters A and B and English 9, Semesters A and B each scored 108 of 108 points.
