EducationCity and Reading Eggs and Reading Eggspress, from Edmentum, a leading provider of online learning solutions, have been named 2016 Teachers’ Choice℠ Awards (TCA) winners by Learning^® Magazine. The awards recognize EducationCity and Reading Eggs for their exceptional quality and outstanding performance in the classroom.

The 22nd annual TCA winners represent the very best in classroom-tested, teacher-recommended products. Winners must receive top ratings in all evaluation areas, which include quality, instructional value, ease of use, and innovation, in order to be selected.

This year’s panel of teacher-judges shared both teacher and learner feedback after using each solution in their respective classrooms. When discussing EducationCity, 2016 Teachers’ Choice Award for the Classroom evaluators said, “The animation was full of life and colors. The voices were extremely clear, and directions were given very well, especially for young learners. The arrows and flashing buttons helped kids know where to click next. . . . Children know what they like, and they liked this!”

Teacher-evaluators also shared the various ways the program was implemented in their classrooms: “We used EducationCity during whole-group and small-group time. Many of the activities were excellent reviews or intros into a mini-lesson. We also used the site during both literacy and math centers, where kids would access materials on our classroom laptops.”

Reading Eggs also received similar evaluator endorsements: “I would recommend this program to teachers in early elementary to use both in the school setting and at home. It is easy to use and really builds on reading skills at a nice pace. My students were engaged and learning, all while having fun!”
