Edmentum, a global education leader and pioneer in online teaching and learning solutions, is delighted to share that three Edmentum programs have been recognized this year with EdTech Cool Tool Awards! With these awards recognizing the best and brightest names in edtech, Courseware won for digital courseware solution, Study Island won for test prep solution, and Exact Path was named a finalist in the adaptive technology solution category.

“Being awarded an EdTech Cool Tool Award is certainly cool, but even better is further validation that our ‘Educator First’ approach is supporting educators in what they do best each and every day,” said Kristie Lindell, director of product management at Edmentum. “As a result, together, we’re able to increase access, equity, outcomes, and engagement for students everywhere.”

Now in the 9th year, the EdTech Awards recognize, acknowledge, and celebrate the most exceptional innovators, leaders, and trendsetters in education technology. This year’s finalists and winners were narrowed from the larger field and judged based on various criteria, including pedagogical workability, efficacy and results, support, clarity, value, and potential.

The winning 2019 digital courseware solution, Courseware offers educators best-in-class online curriculum for kindergarten through adult learners with over 400 engaging courses for first-time credit, credit recovery, and college and career readiness.

The winning 2019 test prep solution, Study Island is a customizable K–12 assessment and practice tool that gives educators the flexibility and depth they need to support student learning and continuously engage, monitor, and assess progress. Built to state standards and designed to support preparation for high-stakes assessments, Study Island is also backed by multiple research studies that show that Study Island meets ESSA requirements of an evidence-based intervention.

A finalist in the adaptive technology solution category, Exact Path promotes academic growth for K–12 students in reading, language arts, and math by closing discrete skill gaps and propelling learning forward in a personalized learning environment. The program uses adaptive diagnostic assessments to pinpoint each student’s instructional level, strengths, and needs and then automatically provides students with an individualized playlist of curriculum to ensure achievement.
