Exact Path Integrates with Indiana's ILEARN State Assessment to Provide Immediate, Actionable Data
In partnership with Cambium Assessment, Inc., Edmentum’s Exact Path is part of a new pilot to integrate with state assessment, giving educators the actionable data needed to support students and put them on the right path to learning
BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (June 5, 2025)—Edmentum, whose K-12 digital curriculum, assessments, and learning interventions serve 6 million students nationwide, today announced its widely-used diagnostic and instructional intervention solution Exact Path will now integrate with the state of Indiana’s through-year assessment data to help educators more quickly and effectively develop customized learning paths for every student.
ILEARN, Indiana’s summative accountability assessment, has three English language arts and mathematics checkpoints throughout the school year. These checkpoints are aligned with state learning standards and capture real-time data to support tailored instruction addressing students’ unique learning needs. Indiana partners with Cambium Assessment, Inc. (CAI) to administer the tests, which then inform Exact Path course progressions tailored to each student to ensure they are on track to meet grade-level expectations.
In an announcement published by CAI, Lynn Schemel, deputy chief academic officer and director of assessment at IDOE, said, "A goal of Indiana's through-year assessment system is to provide educators with immediate, actionable data to ensure all students are on track to master grade-level learning. Through this partnership, we are able to easily capture assessment data throughout the year and design instruction and intervention for individual students, saving teachers valuable time and positioning students for greater success.”
The integration tool, called ClearFrame, allows curriculum providers to deliver optimal practice resources to students based on their performance on the through-year assessments. By streamlining the data transfer process between assessment and curriculum platforms, ClearFrame accelerates access to instructional support and reduces overall testing time by eliminating the need for additional diagnostic assessments during the year.
