Career Interest Explorer: Build in Grades 11-12

Career Interest Explorer: Build in Grades 11–12 is a minicourse designed to help students transition from high school experiences to planning their next steps, whether that means further education or entering the workforce. The course aims to build awareness and provide planning tools for these next steps.

The course uses the Career Interest Explorer inventory and O*net resources to help students identify the future education, certifications, or opportunities they will need. Through interactive lessons, students learn how to turn their interests into goals and actions, solidify their visions, create action plans, and help them understand the importance of skills that will allow them to communicate those plans clearly and confidently.

While the early high school course focuses on planning for high school experiences, this later high school course emphasizes the skills needed for students' next stage of life. Students will also learn about durable skills such as fortitude, leadership, and communication to support this developmental stage. These skills are valued by all employers and are applicable across all career paths.
