Partner Spotlight: Building a Culture of Collaboration to Improve Student Outcomes in Great Falls, South Carolina
"We went from being an Unsatisfactory school to being a school that was rated Good and being only two points away from Excellence in a single year," explained Dr. Tammy Taylor, principal of Great Falls Elementary School (GFE).
Dr. Taylor leads GFE, a rural school in a small South Carolina town that was working to rebuild momentum after receiving an Unsatisfactory rating. She turned to a partnership with Edmentum, centering the work on students’ confidence and steady growth. With Exact Path, the team delivered intentional intervention and gave children continuous, individualized learning paths. The focus of the partnership was on the school’s needs and process, not just a product, helping students see that they can achieve and anchoring daily work in goal setting and effort.
Dr. Taylor attributes much of the school’s progress to the combination of targeted intervention and sustained time on each learner’s path. The Edmentum partnership became a major driver of the school-improvement journey, contributing to a true turnaround built on hard work, clear goals, and consistent practice.
