Partner Spotlight: Creating a Path to Graduation for Every Student in Clover, South Carolina
“We had, through Edmentum and through our condensed credit program, 150 seniors that finished early and were able to graduate in December as a result,” explained Rod Ruth, principal of Clover High School (CHS).
CHS in Clover, South Carolina, is a growing school that needed a flexible, data-driven way to meet diverse student needs. Principal Ruth and his team prioritized a partner that listened to teachers, communicated clearly, and could adjust as the school adjusted. Teachers selected Edmentum for impact, and the school implemented Exact Path so that the staff could build programs specifically for each learner.
CHS also set up an iSchool lab for students on campus taking one or two initial high school or college credit courses online, and a multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) lab for tiered intervention, using Edmentum for initial credit, credit recovery, and condensed credit to open more pathways to graduation.
On top of the success of 150 seniors graduating early in December, more students are on track to finish high school in three years, propelled by the flexibility and options that Edmentum enables.
