Business Information Management A/B

Business Information Management is a two-semester course designed to promote understanding of essential computer skills and technology applications required for college and professional careers in business. Students will examine the role of technology in business organizations, Internet communications, and emerging technologies, and demonstrate proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, and database software. The course places a particular focus on website design, project management, and leadership skills. In unit activities, students will research emerging technologies and their business applications, create professional documents and presentations, and work with databases and spreadsheet programs. Students will also develop websites, examine project management principles, explore industry trends and career roles in the business information management field, and complete long-term course projects examining professional organizations and industry challenges.
