North Carolina Principles of Human Services A/B
North Carolina Principles of Human Services is a two-semester course designed to enable students at the high school level to develop the critical skills and knowledge necessary in the human services industry in careers such as childcare, family services, and personal care services. Students will learn about various personal characteristics that they need to demonstrate in the workplace, such as integrity, and positive work ethics. This course covers topics such as employability skills, counseling and mental health services, and consumer services. The course is based on Career Technical Education (CTE) standards designed to help students prepare for entry into a wide range of careers in the human services field.
