Science Grade 2 A/B

Science Grade 2, Semester A, digs deeper into the methods and tools scientists use. It explores the needs, life cycle, traits, and structures of plants and animals. That knowledge is then used to design a solution to a problem that will be tested and revised. Knowledge of matter, energy, motion, and forces is also gained through small experiments.

Science Grade 2, Semester B, explores the structures of the human body, compares living things in different environments, and digs deeper into natural resources. Explorations include the different types of landforms and bodies of water, and how to map both. The course examines how Earth’s surface is altered by weathering, erosion, earthquakes, volcanoes, hurricanes, and floods. It digs deeper into the weather, seasons, and objects in the
sky, such as the sun and moon.

The materials needed for this course include standard school supplies and specified activity materials.
