Virginia Algebra, Functions, and Data Analysis (Apex)
Virginia Algebra, Functions, and Data Analysis is a two-semester course in which students will study the broad characteristics of functions and their behaviors and solve problems that require the formulation of linear, quadratic, or exponential equations, or a system of equations or inequalities. Students focus on understanding functions — what they are, how to represent and transform them, and how to use them to model mathematical and real-world situations.
Probability, experimental design, and analysis of data will be incorporated into the study of functions. Students will work with data involving samples and populations, distributions, summary statistics, regression analysis, and simulations.
This course is built to Virginia'’s standards for Algebra, Functions, and Data Analysis.
This updated course was originally created for Apex Courses and is now available in Courseware.
