Virginia Information Technology (IT) Fundamentals A/B

Virginia Information Technology (IT) Fundamentals is a two-semester course designed to enable high school students to develop the critical skills and knowledge necessary for the information technology industry. Students will be exposed to the fundamentals of computer systems and will learn how to use the internet, word processors, presentation software, spreadsheets, and databases. Additionally, students will learn about computer programming, computer networks, and web design and development. Finally, students will explore different career pathways in information technology and identify the key skills and certifications required for these careers.
