Colorado Approved READ Act Assessment

CO Dept Ed

Exact Path Growth-Reading is approved as a Supplemental program on the Colorado Department of Education's (CDE) READ Act Advisory List of Instructional Programming.

CDE Instructional Program Approval

Colorado's READ Act establishes an advisory list of evidence-based and scientifically based instructional programming in reading for K-3 districts and schools. Exact Path Growth-Reading has earned approval as a Supplemental program for all K-3 grade levels across all five reading skill areas: Phonological/Phonemic Awareness, Phonics, Vocabulary, Comprehension, and Fluency.

READ Act per-pupil funds are available for districts to purchase programs on the list. Exact Path Growth-Reading meets Colorado's evidence-based standard for K-3 reading instruction and qualifies for that funding.

Evidence-Based Programming

The Colorado Department of Education evaluates programs on a two-year review cycle to ensure alignment with evidence-based, scientifically proven reading instruction. Exact Path Growth-Reading is built on the science of reading, delivering explicit instruction and scaffolded practice across the five pillars of reading through an adaptive, individualized learning path that meets each K-3 student where they are. Independent research across multiple ESSA-rated studies confirms that students using Exact Path consistently demonstrate statistically significant gains in reading achievement.

Exact Path is also approved as a Colorado READ Act diagnostic assessment. Learn more about Exact Path Growth and Exact Path for diagnostic assessments and evidence-based interventions.
