Indianapolis Public Schools’ Mastery-Based Credit Recovery Model

“Life will life,” Cara Hachmeister tells students at Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS) when outside circumstances get in the way of their academic progress. Before the district used Edmentum Courseware for credit recovery, students who failed a class were often placed back into it for another full 18-week semester.
