Texas Principles of Construction A/B

Texas Principles of Construction is a two-semester course that covers fundamental construction concepts. In this course, students will learn the basics of measuring practices, construction mathematics, architectural drawings, and equipment and tools. They will learn how to apply material-handling techniques and computers in the construction trade. This course also covers the careers and opportunities available in the construction industry, as well as safety standards that promote safe and healthy working conditions. Students will also familiarize themselves with the employability skills and personal traits that are essential to workplace success.
