Edmentum, a leading provider of online learning solutions, has been recognized by the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) as a multidistrict online course provider and program provider in Washington state. Edmentum’s online course offerings, accessible through EdOptions Academy, have been approved for the 2014-15 school year, and the approval will remain valid for the next three years.

Washington public schools must use approved providers or an OSPI-approved program to receive state funding for their online programs. Providers are reviewed by the Digital Learning Department, a division of the OSPI, to ensure accreditation, teacher certification and state standards alignment. EdOptions Academy’s approval encompasses core, elective, foreign language, and advanced courses.

WLS provides a way for districts to choose high-quality products through a regionally supported delivery model.
