Edmentum, a leading provider of online learning solutions, announced today that its Study Island learning solution has won a 2014 Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) CODiE™ Award for Best Student Assessment Solution.
SIIA, the principal trade association for the global software and digital content industries, announced Study Island as one of 31 CODiE Award winners in the education technology category. CODiE Awards in the ed-tech category are determined by a combination of educators, who act as initial judges by selecting finalists from among all nominees, and SIIA member-company peers, who vote to select the winners from among the finalists.
“We are very grateful for the positive response from SIIA to all of our Study Island innovations, and we are very honored to accept the CODiE award for Best Student Assessment Solution,” said Darin Rasmussen, Edmentum’s vice president of strategy and corporate development. “As the needs of educators and students continue to evolve, we will listen to them and find new ways to make Study Island the best student assessment product it can possibly be.”
Study Island allows K–12 educators to instruct and assess students as they prepare to master state-specific standards. Through the program’s time-saving features and standards-based content for K–12 courses, teachers receive the support they need to innovate and achieve measurable results in their classrooms. In districts across the country, Study Island has proven to be a critical component to maximizing student performance and ensuring success of Response to Intervention programs, among other uses.
“SIIA’s 2014 Education CODiE Award winners are some of the most innovative, high-impact education products out there,” said SIIA Vice President for the Education Division Karen Billings. “We congratulate all of this year’s CODiE Award winners and thank them for the contributions they have made to the education industry.”
