Edmentum, a leading provider of online and mobile learning solutions, announces new Plato Courseware and EdOptions Academy course approvals under the University of California “a-g” program for the 2016–17 school year. This latest approval consists of 30 semester-length courses, making Edmentum the leader in California online course approvals with 130 core, world language, CTE, and elective courses approved under the University of California “a-g” program.

“We are proud of our rich history of creating online curriculum built to state standards,” said Rob Rueckl, Edmentum’s chief executive officer. “This approval further emphasizes our commitment to being the industry leader in California for online instruction and allows us to more meaningfully partner with districts across the state to achieve their unique educational goals.”

Edmentum shows its commitment to putting the best resources in students’ hands by providing solid, research-based curriculum built from the ground up to align with each state’s specific academic standards.  In addition to the University of California “a-g” program, Edmentum has over 1,000 approved courses by agencies in 20 states, including Academic Benchmarks and Quality Matters.

Edmentum’s courses demonstrate how student achievement is valued by optimizing the blended and virtual learning experience with state approvals and certifications. The “a-g” approval recognizes the strong alignment of its curriculum to academic standards.
