Edmentum, a leading provider of online and mobile learning solutions, announces new online course approvals from the North Dakota Department of Public Instruction (NDDPI) under the Electronic Course Delivery program for the 2016–17 school year. This latest approval makes Edmentum the leader in online course approvals in North Dakota with 113 full-semester courses approved. These courses cover a broad range of subject areas from Edmentum’s comprehensive collection, including core curriculum, world language, career and technical education, and courses for use with the Advanced Placement® exams.
“We are incredibly excited to receive this latest approval,” said Dr. Shannan LaMalfa, senior product manager, Edmentum Courseware. “We’ve always viewed alignment of high-quality curricula to state academic standards as one of the most important resources to help drive student achievement. This approval solidifies that commitment and will help us partner even closer with districts across North Dakota for years to come.”
The NDDPI approval recognizes Edmentum's alignment to the North Dakota Academic Content Standards. This approval also verifies that all teachers involved in the electronic delivery of a course meet or exceed qualifications and licensure requirements and that all students receiving the course electronically have ongoing interaction with teachers of the course.
Edmentum is committed to putting the best resources in students’ hands by providing solid, research-based curriculum built from the ground up to align with state-specific academic standards. Edmentum’s online courses provide an effective and engaging learning solution designed to meet each student at his or her proficiency level through the use of media-rich and interactive experiences. Whether students are at grade level, falling behind, or advanced, courses are customizable to any environment. In total, Edmentum has over 1,100 approved courses by agencies in 21 states, including Academic Benchmarks, Quality Matters, NCAA, and ISTE.
