Edmentum, a global education leader and a pioneer in online teaching and learning solutions, is delighted to announce their sponsorship of Project SUCCESS’ 14th annual Fielding Dreams on Friday, May 18 at Target Field. The fundraiser will help Project SUCCESS continue their mission to motivate and inspire young people to dream about the future and help them get there by giving them the tools they need to achieve their goals.
Project SUCCESS is a youth development organization that began as a pilot program in 1994 by founder Adrienne Diercks to motivate 200 high school students in Minneapolis' North Community High School to dream and plan for their futures. The program now has a proven curriculum model and is serving more than 13,0000 students a year in 19 Minneapolis public middle and high schools.
"We're grateful for Edmentum's support to further our mission to motivate and inspire young people to dream about their futures, help them take steps to get there and give them the tools they need to achieve their goals. This is an ideal partnership that is making a difference for our kids," remarked Adrienne Diercks, founder and executive director or Project SUCCESS.
Project SUCCESS’ vision is that every child entering middle school will graduate from high school with a plan for their future and the skills and confidence to take them through the rest of their lives. Edmentum resonates deeply with this vision, and is excited to support an organization that works with these crucial dimensions of student development.
“We are so proud of what Project SUCCESS is doing in Minneapolis’ public schools,” says Jamie Candee, president and CEO of Edmentum. “Project SUCCESS makes such a positive difference in students’ lives. Our common purpose and parallel vision for empowering student success makes this partnership so meaningful for us.”
The Fielding Dreams event has raised close to 1 million dollars for Project SUCCESS programming for children in Twin Cities public schools over the past 14 years. For more information visit www.projectsuccess.org.
