Edmentum, a leading provider of online learning and mobile solutions, will showcase new enhancements to its web-based literacy program, Reading Eggspress, at the International Literacy Association (ILA) 2015 Conference & Exhibits this weekend in St. Louis. The improvements provide a more robust and targeted learning experience for elementary students, supporting Edmentum’s Reading Eggs and Reading Eggspress customer base of over 60,000 teachers nationwide.

Edmentum will debut a refreshed look and feel of Reading Eggspress at the end of this month, offering a streamlined and individualized user experience that resembles the familiar Reading Eggs learning environment. Utilizing interactive activities, Readings Eggs is focused on building foundational reading skills for pre-K through 2nd graders, while Reading Eggspress builds on students’ love for reading to develop reading comprehension skills for 2nd through 6th graders.

The latest release of this program includes a new main menu, improved navigation, and full mobile optimization to provide an intuitive academic experience. Students will begin with a placement test that creates a prescribed path of leveled comprehension lessons displayed in an intuitive map format. As learners advance through the program, 44 new end-of-map assessments will also measure student progress and continued Lexile^® scale growth.

To complement this new learning environment, 20 lessons have been specifically designed to ensure a smooth transition to Reading Eggspress. In addition, an all-new English Skills section has been created, offering over 200 new spelling lessons to enrich and extend learning. Finally, teachers will experience powerful new reporting with greater ability to track and measure detailed student progress.
