Edmentum, a leading provider of web-based individualized learning solutions, is proud to announce a continued commitment to building relationships with state department of education organizations, including Oregon’s Department of Education. Bob Salazar, Standards and Instructional-Education Program Specialist, at the Oregon Department of Education, is pleased to recommend Edmentum’s adaptive intervention solution. Edmentum continues to provide solid, research-based curricula built from the ground up to align with state-specific academic standards to empower futures, one student at a time.
This year, the state of Oregon underwent a large initiative to search for the best possible intervention solution to assist districts throughout Oregon with Alternative Education Programming. The initiative began when Salazar noticed staff around the state were overwhelmed with how to assess the students and then prescribe content to help fill the knowledge gaps.
Edmentum’s adaptive intervention solution provides meaningful tools to help identify learner’s not keeping pace, pinpoint weakness, and target individual learner needs to ensure success in reading, math, and English language arts. The programs are uniquely designed to provide focused instruction and support to raise learner achievement. Diagnostic and placement assessments help educators understand each learner’s unique needs to more effectively guide instruction. The assessments integrate with rigorous curriculum to provide a personalized learning path and more targeted instruction. Immediate feedback and real-time progress monitoring help identify and close knowledge gaps at the individual and class level.
“Edmentum offers teachers the opportunity to assess the students’ reading and math to determine their best Individual Learning Plan,” said Robert Salazar, from the Oregon Department of Education. “It is an excellent tool to keep our students engaged in a pathway to completing high school and post-secondary education which is a huge priority for all of us. Edmentum is a program that lends itself to a blended or comprehensive learning environment, meeting the needs of all the students and making implementation simpler.”
Edmentum courses have been certified or reviewed by six national third-party organizations: Academic Benchmarks, ISTE, Quality Matters, College Board, the GED® Publisher Program, and iNACOL, all of which have set the standard for quality assurance in online learning and helped solidify Edmentum as the industry leader in standards-based online curriculum.
