Edmentum, a leading provider of online learning solutions, has partnered with the Portable Practical Educational Preparation, Inc. California (PPEP-CA) to provide a variety of engaging and accredited online learning opportunities to nearly 1,000 students in southern California.

PPEP-CA, a public charter school serving students in ninth through 12th grade, will offer Edmentum’s EdOptions Academy solutions through its PPEP-CA Online High School program.

EdOptions Academy provides virtual courses in a wide range of core subjects, electives, and languages for all students, whether they are falling behind, at grade level or needing advanced options. Courses are engaging for students, Common Core aligned and consist of integrated assessments that allow students to forgo content they have already mastered so they can focus on the concepts that need additional work.

"We were looking for a virtual learning program that is effective and supports our approach of allowing students to learn on their own schedule," said Ramon Miramontes, president of the board of PPEP-CA. “Edmentum provides the flexibility we need to run our own program while also serving our students’ diverse needs and schedules.”

PPEP-CA is committed to providing students with the help and support they need not only for their high school experience, but also for post-secondary education and entering the work force after graduation.

The partnership was announced at the 21^st Annual California Charter School Conference at the San Jose Convention Center in San Jose, California March 3-6.
