South Dakota Center for Virtual Education (SDCVE)

Edmentum is approved by the South Dakota Center for Virtual Education (SDCVE) for use by South Dakota students with the ability to offer a wide variety of online courses. SDVS has approved Black Hills Online Learning Community which utilizes Edmentum Courseware and EdOptions Academy courses aligned to South Dakota standards, facilitated by state-certified teachers, and vetted for quality and rigor.

About South Dakota Virtual School

Because the South Dakota Department of Education approves all courses, students can be assured that course offerings meet the state's high academic standards.

Any middle or high school student in South Dakota is eligible to take courses via the South Dakota Virtual School, but students must register through their home school district.
