Digital and Interactive Media A/B
Digital and Interactive Media is a two-semester course designed to promote understanding of digital media concepts, design principles, and production techniques. Students will examine careers and training in digital and interactive media, graphic design, digital photography, and printing principles, and explore digital communication systems, audio and video production, multimedia, animation, and web publishing. The course will also focus on copyright laws, ethical concerns, safety procedures, and professional portfolio development. In unit activities, students will research job responsibilities and educational requirements for digital media careers, produce and enhance photographs, and apply design principles to create various media products. Students will also practice video production techniques, create multimedia presentations and web pages, and develop digital portfolios that demonstrate proficiency in digital and interactive media skills.
The materials needed for this course include a digital SLR camera, scanner, and printer.
