Texas Advanced Audio/Video Production C/D

Texas Advanced Audio/Video Production C/D is a two-semester course designed to promote understanding of advanced production techniques required for college and professional careers in the audio-video industry. Students will examine preproduction planning, script development, and production execution in studio and on-location settings, and employ advanced lighting, audio mixing, and editing techniques. The course places a particular focus on live production, special effects, animation, media delivery methods, and career opportunities. In unit activities, students will develop production plans and schedules, record footage and conduct interviews, and apply composition and editing techniques to create final productions. Students will also demonstrate advanced lighting and graphic design skills, create professional digital portfolios, and apply critiquing techniques to evaluate media work.

The materials needed for this course include a DSLR camera with video or a cell phone with camera and video.
