California Principles of Transportation, Distribution, and Logistics A/B

California Principles of Transportation, Distribution, and Logistics is a two-semester course designed to promote understanding of the transportation, distribution, and logistics (TDL) industry and the careers available within it. Students will examine the history of the TDL industry, modes of transportation, the role of TDL in world trade, and warehousing and storage operations. The course places a particular focus on workplace safety, leadership, and the impact of technology on the industry. In unit activities, students will apply occupational safety guidelines and evaluate communication and teamwork strategies essential for success in the field. Students will also appraise the education and training required for careers in the TDL industry and explore pathways for professional growth and advancement.
