Colorado World History A/B

Colorado World History is a two-semester course aligned to the Colorado Academic Standards for social studies. The course is designed to develop students' historical thinking skills through the exploration of significant world events and their impacts. Students will learn about European exploration, the Renaissance, the Reformation, and major world revolutions, as well as the causes and consequences of World War I, World War II, and the Cold War. They will also explore historical world events using innovative videos, timelines, and interactive maps and images to deepen their understanding of key content. In addition, the course covers the benefits and challenges of living in the modern world and encourages students to apply historical thinking skills to contemporary global issues.
