Principles of Arts, A/V Technology, and Communications A/B

Principles of Arts, A/V Technology, and Communications is a two-semester course designed to promote understanding of the careers, skills, and technologies across the arts, audio/video technology, and communications career cluster. Students will examine the evolution of audio/video technology, film, multimedia, and animation, and explore career opportunities in visual arts, fashion design, journalism, telecommunications, and graphic design. The course places a particular focus on professional ethics, workplace diversity, and health and safety in the field. In unit activities, students will identify elements of art and principles of design and examine performing arts, including music, dance, and theater. Students will also develop job acquisition, leadership, and professional communication skills essential for success in the field.
