Alabama Comprehensive Assessment Program (ACAP) Predicted by Exact Path Insights
Strong relationships between students’ Exact Path Insights scores and ACAP results help make Exact Path an accurate tool to track students’ progress toward grade-level proficiency
What did we find?
Using five years of data (2020–2021 to 2024–2025), we connected the results from over 20,000 students who completed Exact Path Insights to their end-of-year Alabama Comprehensive Assessment Program results in math and English language arts. We found that Exact Path is highly predictive of ACAP; no matter the subject or season, Exact Path can accurately predict whether students are on track for proficiency.

The study found consistently strong relationships in all grades and subjects. This makes Exact Path an accurate and critical tool for tracking students’ performance against Alabama’s grade-level assessments. Educators can:

Exact Path on average, accurately predicts proficiency on the ACAP in the fall, winter, and spring, providing early signals of which students are on track to succeed on end-of-year tests.
